Terms of Service

1. About Arcus

Arcus is operated by Arcus World Ltd ("Arcus", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

Arcus provides a platform for event discovery, ticketing, and community. When you purchase a ticket through Arcus, we act as a ticketing agent on behalf of the event organiser ("Brand"). Your contract for attendance is with the Brand, not Arcus.

For support, contact support@arcusworld.xyz

2. Account Terms

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

One account per person — duplicate or fake accounts may be suspended

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account

3. Free Events

For free events, RSVPing confirms your place (subject to capacity). Free RSVPs are non-binding and may be cancelled at any time by you or the Brand.

4. Paid Events & Ticketing

Role of Arcus:

Arcus acts as a ticketing agent on behalf of the Brand

Payments are processed directly to the Brand's Stripe account — Arcus never holds your funds

Your contract for the event is with the Brand, not Arcus

Booking Fee:

A booking fee of £0.71 per ticket (inclusive of VAT) is charged by Arcus for providing the ticketing platform

Depending on the Brand's preference, this fee may be included in the ticket price or added at checkout

The booking fee is clearly shown in the price breakdown before you pay

Pricing Transparency:

All prices shown on event listings are the total price you will pay, including any booking fees (in compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024)

A full breakdown of ticket price, booking fee, and any discounts is shown at checkout

Ticket Limits:

One ticket per account per event

Tickets are non-transferable

Tickets must not be resold above face value

5. Refund Policy

Event Cancellation:

If a Brand cancels an event, you are entitled to a full refund including the booking fee

Event Rescheduling:

If the event is rescheduled and you cannot attend the new date, you are entitled to a refund

Voluntary Non-Attendance:

If you choose not to attend an event for any reason (including illness, change of plans, or personal circumstances), this does not automatically entitle you to a refund

It is your responsibility to attend the event you have purchased a ticket for

Brands may, at their sole discretion, offer refunds for voluntary non-attendance — but are under no obligation to do so

Brands may set a refund deadline (e.g. 48 hours before the event) after which no refunds will be issued

The booking fee is non-refundable for voluntary non-attendance refunds (when the buyer paid the fee separately)

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:

Event tickets are for leisure services on a specific date and are therefore exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

You will be asked to acknowledge this at checkout

How to Request a Refund:

Through the Arcus app or website (self-service, where available)

By contacting the Brand directly

By emailing support@arcusworld.xyz

6. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments UK Limited, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority)

Your payment goes directly to the Brand's Stripe account — Arcus does not hold, control, or delay your funds

Arcus collects an application fee (the booking fee) from the transaction

Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on Arcus servers

Stripe processing fees (e.g. 1.5% + 20p for UK cards) are borne by the Brand, not the buyer

7. Brand Responsibilities

Brands using Arcus to sell tickets agree to:

Deliver the event as described on the listing

Honour refund obligations for cancelled or rescheduled events

Maintain an active Stripe account capable of processing refunds

Comply with all applicable laws including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and DMCCA 2024

Arcus is not liable for:

The quality, safety, or delivery of events hosted by Brands

The Brand's failure to honour refund requests

Any loss arising from the cancellation or rescheduling of an event by a Brand

8. Data Sharing with Brands

When you purchase a ticket or RSVP to an event, the following information is shared with the Brand:

Your name and email address

Your ticket and payment status (for paid events)

This information is shared solely for event management purposes (check-in, event communications). See our Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Intellectual Property

Arcus and its logo are trademarks of Arcus World Ltd

Content you upload (profile photos, etc.) remains yours, but you grant Arcus a licence to display it on the platform

Event content (images, descriptions) belongs to the respective Brands

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Arcus's total liability for any claim arising from paid ticketing is limited to the booking fee you paid

Arcus is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of Arcus after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By using Arcus, you agree to these terms of service
